Woman Falls Unconscious While Detained by ICE in EPA

This week, we saw some truly scary images from a video out of East Palo Alto, a city that has historically been part of a sanctuary city. The footage showed a woman being detained by ICE agents who, as usual, were covering their faces and being incredibly rough with her.

The video is hard to watch. You can hear her husband and brother in the background, their voices filled with frustration and a sense of powerlessness as they witness what's happening. The situation escalated to the point where the woman even went unconscious.

To make matters worse, one of the agents tried to intimidate the people who were recording the incident. This is a reminder that even in places meant to be safe, there are moments where we feel like we are witnessing the wrong side of history.

This is a scary reminder for all of us. Please, tengan cuidado and stay vigilant.

Racism in the Auto Shop: Our Dollars are Our Voice

Another video made its way online, showing a worker at an auto body shop racism with a sense of impunity. In some corners of our society, this kind of behavior is becoming more and more normalized.

What was most striking was the worker's complete lack of concern about repercussions. He even had the audacity to say that they don't care about a bad review because they can simply delete it. This isn't just a bad attitude; it’s a mindset that shows a fundamental disrespect for the community.

The truth is, this person's words are a direct reflection of the business they represent. When we give our money to places that allow this kind of behavior, we are essentially saying that it's okay.

As a community, we need to show them that it's not. Where we spend our money is where we cast our vote. Let's choose to support businesses that reflect our values and work for, not against, our communities.

¿Qué piensas? What are your thoughts on holding businesses accountable for their employees' actions?

Kilmar to Uganda

I've been thinking a lot about the story of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and my heart goes out to him. This man was only back with his family for a few short days in El Salvador after being returned there, and now they want to punish him again.

The current administration has no problem with rewriting history to fit their narrative, and they are trying to paint him as something he is not. But what I find to be the most shocking part of this entire story is the unjust choice he's been forced to make.

He was told that he could plead guilty to a charge and be deported to Costa Rica, or if he maintains his innocence and does not, he will be deported to Uganda.

This is a crazy and unacceptable abuse of power. It's not okay to use such tactics to coerce a person and play with their life.

Luckily, a judge has temporarily halted this, but we need to keep this man and his family in our thoughts. Let's hope that justice prevails and something good comes from this.

A Glimpse Inside: Inhumane Conditions at an ICE Facility

This week, somehow, someone was able to share a video from the inside of a detention center; a place we are rarely, if ever, allowed to see. The images are hard to forget. We see a small, cramped space packed with people.

The facility looks incredibly dirty and unsanitary. But what's even more heartbreaking is watching people trying to sleep while the lights are kept on all day and night.

This is a form of psychological torture, and many would call it a crime against humanity. The fact that this is happening behind closed doors is a reminder of what's being done in our names.

I'm so glad this video exists. It's a crucial piece of evidence that shows the world the truth. What do you all think about it? Let me know.

La Migra Disappears Man Who Was Granted Asylum

They keep telling us that they're only going after criminals and that they want people to do things "the right way." But time and time again, we keep seeing ICE picking up migrants who are doing exactly that, and they don't match the descriptions they give.

This is a painful and infuriating contradiction.

A recent clip serves as a perfect example of this. It shows a man who had just been granted asylum; meaning he had followed the process and won his case…and yet, he was detained by ICE shortly after.

This is not okay. This is not justice. It's a clear message that even when you follow the rules, the system can still be used against you.

This is why it's crucial to be prepared. If you or someone you know has to go to court for any reason, please, bring someone with you. This person can document what's happening or simply serve as a witness for your own safety.
