They Aren’t Only Going for Criminals: The Confirmation We Already Knew
Familia, you know we've been saying it. We know they aren't just after the "worst of the worst." But now, we have official confirmation of this strategy from one of the architects of the recent raids: Gregory Bovino.
This man, who rose to power leading the controversial "Operation Midway Blitz" in Chicago, essentially admitted that the goal is numbers over justice. The context was a federal judge in Illinois, Sara Ellis, who was trying to rein in the aggressive tactics and order some people to be released from detention.
Instead of compliance, Bovino pushed back, reportedly saying that if the judge released people, his agents would just "go harder and get even more." Like, what kind of shit is that? It confirms that the system is not about public safety; it’s about racking up stats and intimidating our communities.
This rhetoric of going after people "doing it the right way", people with no criminal record who are simply out in their communities, is a deliberate tactic to create an atmosphere of terror. This isn't just a border issue; it is a clear attack on our neighbors, our workers, and our families in the heart of our cities.
Bovino, who is a Commander at Large of Border Patrol but led the ICE-style operation in Chicago, has faced strong criticism and rebukes from federal judges and local politicians, including the Mayor and Governor of Illinois. His aggressive approach and seeming disregard for legal constraints and civilian safety have been widely reported. I truly hope that he and others responsible for this campaign of chaos are held accountable one day. This is the moment to stay vigilant and hold the line for our due process rights.
@senor_barragan He is gonna be on the wrong side of the history books. #illinois #chicago #inmigrantes #inmigracion #humanrights

Trump Panicking Over Files
The long-promised, long-delayed release of the Epstein files is finally happening, and the White House is in full-blown panic mode.
For months, the president has tried every trick in the book to keep these files sealed, calling the entire saga a "hoax" perpetrated by the Democrats. But reality is catching up. The recent release of emails from Jeffrey Epstein to people like Michael Wolff and Ghislaine Maxwell has dropped a bombshell right into the center of the administration's denial.
In one email, Epstein himself allegedly claimed that the president "knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop." In another, he referred to the president as "the dog that hasn't barked" in connection with a victim who spent hours at his house.
The president's response? Ignoring reporters, calling for them to be escorted out, and lashing out at Republicans who dare to call for transparency, labeling them "stupid people." This man is fighting tooth and nail to bury information that the public, and more importantly, the survivors, deserve to see.
This isn't just about political opposition; the pressure is coming from his own base. We're seeing prominent Republican allies like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert demanding the full release of the files, defying the White House's orders. Many in his fanbase said this would be the last straw if he was implicated. Now that the emails are out, we will see if they truly "stand on business" when it comes to accountability.
The bottom line is simple: full transparency is the only way forward for justice. Let's keep the pressure up.
@senor_barragan Things are getting spicy 👀 #epstein #files #trump #accountability

Prop 50.. Racist?
o the surprise of absolutely no one, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has just joined a lawsuit to block California’s Proposition 50, the new congressional map overwhelmingly approved by voters just last week.
Their claim? That the map constitutes "racially gerrymandered congressional districts" and a "brazen power grab."
Let that sink in.
While Texas and other red states have been aggressively gerrymandering their maps to drastically dilute minority votes, and facing no legal challenge from this administration's DOJ, they are now suing the one state that fought back via a democratic vote of the people. The lawsuit specifically argues that the map improperly used race to favor Latino voters, completely ignoring the fact that Prop 50 was a necessary response to the unconstitutional tactics being used elsewhere to silence minority voices.
It is unbelievably ironic that the DOJ would call this a power grab when the entire reason Prop 50 exists is to act as a shield against the partisan, race-based map rigging we've seen sweeping the country. This move isn't about upholding the law; it's a clear, desperate effort to overturn the results of a free and fair election simply because the voters' choice might cost the current administration control of the House.
Prop 50 was our counterpunch, and the fact that they are now scrambling to block it shows one thing: it's working. We need to stay focused and make sure our democratic victories are defended in court.
@senor_barragan Of course we all saw this coming #prop50 #california #gavinnewsom

Personal Update:
I got the dope opportunity to partner with an exhibit about immigrants that is happening in San Fernando’s Library. The exhibit is called “Californians Powering America” and it has beautiful photographs detailing our diverse stories. From Mexican migrants to those from Korea; it showcases our diverse struggles as we are seeking safety and stability. I thought it was super dope! If you are near the LA area I recommend you all visit; it will be up until the end of the year 🙂
Aside from how cool it is to feel represented; it gave me the opportunity to reflect on how important our labor (and presence) is to this county. This country would not stay afloat if it wasn’t for our communities efforts. La gente migrante deserves respect.
@senor_barragan I encourage you to visit the San Fernando Library for The Californians Powering America exhibit open now through the end of the year. We n... See more
