Disturbing DOJ memo allowing warrantless ICE searches targeting Venezuelan citizens, lies about deported Salvadoran man's alleged gang affiliation, and information of an anti-Mexican hate crime against a Salvadoran individual.

Saludos! Some quick announcements!
This is our 5th installment of the newsletter- time goes by so quick!
For the first month I was sending out the newsletter with 5 stories that were important. From the analytics it looks like only 30% of folks make it to the end of the article though. I wanted to ask if it would be more impactful if we talk only about less stories and make it shorter. I am testing that out today with this installment but let me know your opinion on the poll below 🙂
How many stories should we talk about each newsletter? |
Below are some important stories we talked about this week!
Psst here is a free shirt to whoever opened the newsletter first 🙂 If you were too slow don’t worry; I give one out every newsletter; if you want to support me though so I can continue to do this check out my stuff!

DOJ Orders ICE to Search Homes Without Warrants A recently disclosed internal memo from the Trump Justice Department has authorized ICE agents to conduct searches of private homes without obtaining warrants. This directive, relying on the Alien Enemies Act, specifically targets Venezuelan citizens suspected of gang affiliation. As we've discussed, this raises serious concerns regarding constitutional protections, particularly the Fourth Amendment's safeguards against unreasonable searches. Given the existing concerns about the erosion of due process and respect for basic human rights, this authorization is deeply troubling. The ability to enter residences without judicial oversight presents a significant risk of discriminatory practices and the violation of individual rights, based on nationality and suspicion, rather than concrete evidence. |

Is Trump Being Dishonest or What? The case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran individual who was unjustly deported despite existing judicial protections, has recently been the subject of renewed attention. During a recent interview, Trump made a statement that Kilmar Abrego Garcia had tattoos of MS-13 affiliation. Those tattoos were clearly photoshopped; we even have photographs of Kilmar’s hand where the numbers and letters are not there. It is unclear if Trump is lying or if he truly believes those are his actual tattoos. Either way some people that blindly follow him will take that and believe it is the truth. As a reminder→ there is no credible information to suggest that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is associated with gang activity. Even the Supreme Court has requested that he be returned. This is insane. |

Salvadorian Man attacked in anti Mexican Assault Coming home in Inglewood this week, a man was attacked after someone shouted anti-Mexican rhetoric at him. What makes it even worse is the man that was attacked is Salvadorian. Clearly the narrative the attacker had was towards any person of brown complexion, most likely fueled by what we see in the media. This just shows how dangerous the negative things we see about immigrants in the news can be for people in real life. Please everyone, be careful out there, and let's all stand together against hate. |

Thank you for your continued support! I have been feeling really frustrated lately since all of my content has been suppressed on social media. I think they are coming after content creators that are speaking in support of migrants or of people of color. It’s really sad and disappointing, specially because of how much work we have put to be able to build a community. I started posting on YouTube as a way to get eyes on important stories; please check it out if you haven’t already. Mil gracias!
ALSO Please check out the sponsor of today’s newsletter. Checking them out supports the newsletter so I can keep sending it out 😄 (sale caro mandar esto pero con solo mirar la pagina de ellos me ayuda).
